Woodstock remembers WW1 Then and Now project wins ‘Legacy 110’ National Award 2019

On Thursday 28th November, the UCL First World War Centenary Battlefield Tours Programme hosted the 5th Annual ‘Legacy110’ Awards at the Tower of London. Seven schools were invited to showcase their projects and received National Awards. It was also announced that the total reach of Legacy110 projects to date is 15,374,698.

We were delighted to be able to attend and collect the award from David Rich National Education Co-ordinator and Simon Bendry Programme Director for the First World War Centenary Battlefield Tours Programme, UCL Institute of Education, London.

Students attending were Isabel Wheeler, Catrin Warr, Ella Thorburn & Daniela Weicha who prepared a Powerpoint presentation and speech to deliver to the other award-winning schools and invited guests which included Tour Guides, members of the Imperial War Museum, the Army, and the Royal Wootton Bassett Academy Holocaust program.
