We approached the church to see whether we were able to have an exhibition over the Remembrance weekend. They thought it was a good idea but there would be restrictions on where the boards went because of a packed church on Remembrance Sunday itself. They allowed us to set up the Monday beforehand and were surprised how much we had found out and how professional it all looked. They invited us to prolong the exhibition for a further week and we had some lovely comments left in the visitor’s book from relatives of the soldiers. This was exactly what we hoped for and we were able to get in touch and develop a relationship with them.
